The Common Evening Brown (Melanitis leda) is a common species of butterfly found in India and is active early morning or at dusk resting in undergrowth and fallen leaves for most of the day. It does come to flower but is more partial to overripe fruits, tree sap and here eating used tea leaves from household !!. The flight of this species is erratic.
